Ever since the world has undergone a social distancing scenario due to the pandemic COVID-19 Considering the ongoing situation, there is an utmost need of sustaining the existing market and also making India available in the world market for the supply of agricultural and processed food products. At APEDA, trade fairs and exhibitions have been instrumental in promoting export of agricultural foods. But since organizing fairs and exhibitions for buyer-seller meetings is no more feasible at this juncture. Now APEDA has implemented and launched a platform for Virtual Trade Fair or VTF. The Virtual Trade Fair event revolves around the India Fruits, Vegetables & Floriculture theme, and will focus on showcasing the strengths of various agricultural products with the aim of establishing a contact between Indian exporters and foreign importers. This virtual trade fair will be available at fingertips from 27th to 29th of May 2021. Here, buyers, importers and visitors will get to explore a wide range of food products presented by the exporters. The trade process will take place via interactive technology to provide seamless virtual meetings as an added benefit. Thanks to innovative design and immersive infrastructure, exporters and importer meetings can be held with no interruption via audio as well as video sessions.
